I mainly stayed here because of the unusual design (I love an old industrial building!) and it did not disappoint on that score. The journey into the city centre was also very easy from SILO; I did it about six times in three days. I chose Basel solely because of its rail connections, but am glad that I took time in the end to explore - it's a wonderful and friendly city.
