What I liked: The room was very spacious, the bed extremely comfortable, and the location was both ideal and original. Everything is very well looked after. The hosts were very helpful, and I really appreciated the easy access to the outside at night directly from the room to enjoy stargazing.

The location is really discrete that makes the entire experience private. We have everything we need in the glass house. The owner is helpful when we get stuck with the snow. Would definitely revisit!

The room was very warm, with heated floors! The bed was very comfortable, we slept for 10 hrs, which is unheard of for us! The decor was luxurious, it had obviously been redecorated recently! We will definitely recommend to others & come again!

The room a bit small, and inventory is old, but it´s equipped with everything you actually need, its functional and is cozy. I felt comfortable and also the staff is friendly and helpful. the shared kitchen is well equipped. I would come back anytime.

Mountain Chalets is just 5 minutes’ drive from Lake Ruataniwha. It features a barbecue area with outdoor seating and unlimited free WiFi. Free parking is available on site.

Great location at the bottom of Lake Pukaki with awesome view onto Mt. Cook. The property provides super service and is completely off-grid and self sustained. Food was awesome. We loved the star gazing - well educated, super comfy and we saw galaxies with our plain eye.
