Great place for a stay near Orvieto. I am sure in summer it is amazing, but even in winter it as perfect for our needs. The restaurant is excellent, and the service was very good all around.

The place is absolutely amazing. Located in the tiny village in the less touristic part of Tuscany, the 11th century fortress offers a truly unique experience. The staff is lovely and the owners are super passionate about what they're doing. I would recommend joining some of the attractions organised by the hotel - we joined for a cellar tour with wine & cheese tasting and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. We had a room with a city view and it was truly unmatched - I would absolutely recommend getting a room with a view as it was one of the biggest highlights of the stay. The room itself was nice, albeit a bit small but this is to be expected considering how old (authentic!) the place is. Breakfast was nice and relatively varied for the Italian standards. To sum up, if you're looking for a romantic getaway or a calm weekend by yourself, please do yourself a favour and book this hotel! You won't regret it!

We had a great time — the apartment was comfortable and clean, and even though there was no air conditioning, the room was almost cool. The hospitality was kind and attentive, and the food was also very delicious.

Everything! We loved the experience of staying in a vineyard hotel! It was our second time in a hotel like that and at Locanda we felt like home! Everything was absolutely great! The visit at the Etruscan Cave, the wine tasting and the dinner were wonderful. We are very grateful to have found this “refuge” in Umbria. Without a question, we shall be coming back in the future!
