Very cosy hotel with nice and comfortable room. Great ambience in the hotel lobby that comes with a nice snowy view in winter was exceptionally nice to hang out. Our room faces the town. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This was the best, most friendly hotel we stayed in our 10 day trip around Icelands Ring Road. We were given a friendly welcome by the owner a family run business . It was first class. The location is outstanding , in such beautiful grounds . An excellent room so comfortable and quiet. An excellent breakfast .

The best place for the economy travelers. It is cheap, has fridge, cattle, and a running water right in the room, and a great view out of the window. And yeah, the smoothest check in process. If I would have to choose now between this guesthouse and a fancy network hotel for $300+ a night there I would choose this one

This guesthouse is in a great location within this small but beautiful town, a short walk to everything you need (bars, restaurants, grocery shopping, etc). The room was a generous size, clean, with comfortable beds. The kitchen amenities were generous with plenty of space for cooking & storing our groceries. We definitely recommend this guesthouse.

Beautifully located in a forest area by Lake Lagarfljot, 25 km south of Egilsstadir, is the Hotel Hallormsstadur, close to hiking trails and various recreational opportunities.
